The aim of this research project is the mapping of the places in the territory of Greece related to the revolution of 1821 and their visualization with a combination of scientific and artistic elements as 'visual palimpsests'. The result of superimposing layers of cultural, historical, social and architectural elements with expressive means from cartography and architecture is incredibly interesting. My personal contribution to the project is made through a perceptual map of Nafplio. I believe it is particularly important to incorporate into the historical analysis the emotional qualities attributed to the place during and after the period of the Greek revolution. I therefore propose that the emotive clues in the poems, folk songs, proverbs and the general oral tradition of the time should be encoded and presented in a map. Thus I identified some basic categories of emotions that appeared in the texts I collected and then represented each category with a colour. Then I position the colour in the sub-region corresponding to the map.
